Hambden students recently participated in a school-wide community service project making blankets to donate to Project Linus. Project Linus is an organization that provides handmade blankets to children that are critically ill or have suffered a trauma. This is the fourth year for this service project and Hambden students have now made over 500 blankets to donate! The project’s volunteer coordinator, teacher Stephanie Seabeck, said, “Our mission has been to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to other children who are in need of a blanket to call their own”. Special thanks to the high school students who were on hand help the Hambden kids while we they helped others!
