A 1900s Victorian Tea Parlor Comes to Life at Quintealia’s

You know how in those time travel movies, there is always some magical door, or time warp gate, or some special objects that take the characters back in time in a flash? I think I found one of those just the other day, and it was amazing.

As I walked up the ramp to their front door, I could already feel the unique character oozing from the building. Its Victorian trim and colors accentuate the mood and feeling that’s brewing inside. As I reached out and grasped the handle on the solid wooden door, I felt the magic start to happen and before I knew it, I was in another time and in another land.

Pouring teaIt was cool and soft. As I began to realize where I was, I looked around and saw white linen tablecloths, carefully stitched napkins, sharply polished silver utensils, and dainty little tea cups, tea pots, and china plates. The Victorian sofa I was sitting on was covered in a rich red velvet, and all around me were my friends who were enjoying all sorts of delicious treats.

I had arrived back in the early 1900s in Quintealia’s parlor. The soft music in the background relaxed me as I sipped on my cup of tea. Annette and Renee sat across from me, and Lynda was commenting on how delicious her rum cake was from her corner table. The golden sunlight was splashing through the stained glass windows and filled the room with a quaint yet warm glow. I felt like I was transported to another era where no one was in a hurry and where only the finest teas and dishes were served.
