Fans shine a spotlight on the tremendous Buckeye Trail, with time for Questions and Answers.
Marked by blue blazes on trees for more than 1,400 miles, the Buckeye Trail winds around Ohio reaching its every corner, from a beachhead on Lake Erie to a hilltop overlooking the Ohio River in Cincinnati.
On Sunday, March 19th, join Geauga Park District to learn more about this amazing resource right in our own backyards as The West Woods Nature Center hosts The Buckeye Trail: Follow the Blue Blazes from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This program will offer the history and evolution of Ohio’s scenic hiking trail with characteristics of its various unique sections. A brief presentation by the Burton section supervisors, who have successfully rerouted portions of the trail from road to off-road, will then be followed by a Question and Answer session with the Crooker River Chapter, Buckeye Trail Association members, volunteers and hikers.
Registration is not required for this informative wheelchair/stroller accessible program. Please call 440-286-9516 with questions.
