Cardinal Schools Orientations East First-Day Nerves!

Incoming Kindergarten students and their parents participate in a scavenger hunt during orientation at Jordak Elementary. Students received stickers after locating each stop.

A lot of first-day jitters from incoming Kindergarten and Freshmen students and parents were put to ease August 11th during Kindergarten and 9th grade orientations. For the Class of 2030 – boys and girls were split up and came to visit the school during different designated times that day. At orientation, students had an opportunity to tour the school with parents, participate in a scavenger hunt to locate all of the important areas in Jordak, such as the office, cafeteria, restrooms, gym, music room, library, and computer room, they also got to meet their teachers and see their classrooms. At the high school, the Class of 2021 heard briefly from administrators at their orientation and then divided into three groups to tour the building and participate in some ice breaker activities. At the end of the orientation, students literally ran the bell schedule to make sure they could get to their classes on time. At each stop there were raffle tickets students could earn for a chance to win a prize!
