Celebrate 50 years of Ohio’s Scenic Rivers Program at Bass Lake Preserve, a designated scenic river site and natural lake on the Chagrin!  Join us Sunday, September 16th, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Bass Lake Preserve.  Local resource professionals will be leading a variety of family-friendly aquatic adventures including stream exploration, canoeing, strolls through Spring Brook Sanctuary, and close encounters with Chagrin River critters including Ohio’s treasured brook trout!  This unique river celebration is a collaboration with Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), ODNR Division of Parks & Watercraft, Scenic Rivers Program, and other conservation partners.

For more information or to register for a canoe time-slot (required), contact Geauga SWCD by September 13th at 440-834-1122 or [email protected].  Advanced registration required for canoe float – ages 12 and up, 2 person limit per canoe, and basic canoe handling skills expected.  See you on the Chagrin!
