The Citizens for Chardon Schools invite you to attend a Community Forum on Ohio’s School Funding with our State Legislators on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chardon Schools Board of Education Meeting Room, 428 North St. Chardon.

State funding for Chardon Schools has decreased over the last several years, due in large part to the phase out of the Tangible Personal Property Tax (TPP) reimbursement. The Chardon Schools is losing approx. $1 million dollars per year due to this phase-out, while the District’s 3.9 mill operating levy was defeated by voters in November 2017.

Join Chardon Superintendent Michael Hanlon for a panel discussion with area representatives from Columbus: State Sen. John Eklund (R-Munson), State Sen. Sean O’Brien (D-Bazetta), State Rep. Sarah LaTourette (R-Chesterland), and State Rep. John Patterson (D-Ashtabula).

Citizens for Chardon Schools is a group of concerned parents, community members, and educators who are committed to seeing Chardon Schools continue to provide students a premier education. Want to get involved? Contact Citizens for Chardon Schools at [email protected]
