The wealth of knowledge available through eBird is something that even the most casual birder should become familiar with, not to mention the feeling that your contributions of data could fuel scientific research or another birder’s adventure!

In conjunction with the Great Backyard Bird Count, join Naturalist Linda Gilbert and Audubon member Matt Valencic for a primer on how to use the eBird app and database during eBird: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know on Sunday, February 18th, 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. at The West Woods Nature Center.

Attendees will learn how to set up an account and enter a bird list (Linda will demonstrate with the list generated by the Great Backyard Bird Count), then see what kinds of other cool things can be done with the app to enhance your birding experience.

Registration is not required to attend this wheelchair/stroller accessible program. The West Woods is located at 9465 Kinsman Road (Rt. 87) in Russell Township. Please call 440-286-9516 with questions.

For more on Geauga Park District offerings, please call 440-286-9516 or visit Geauga Park District online at Geauga Park District, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube.
