All Geauga County Public Library branches are collecting personal-care items through the end of December for Geauga families in need. People who would like to donate items may do so at the collection bins at the following branches: Bainbridge, Chardon, Geauga West in Chesterland, Middlefield, Newbury, Thompson and at the Administrative Center. - Feminine hygiene products
- Toothpaste and toothbrushes
- New combs and brushes
All items will be collected and distributed to families in Geauga County via United Way services of Geauga County.
“We are pleased to be able to help families here in the community,” says GCPL Director Ed Worso. “Since our buildings get a lot of use, we provide several visible collection sites throughout the county. We encourage anyone who can make a donation to do so when they visit their local library branch.”
The Geauga County Public Library includes four full-service branches in Bainbridge, Chardon, Chesterland (Geauga West) and Middlefield, two library stations housed in schools in Newbury and Thompson, and a Mobile Services fleet that serves rural areas and community centers. Its administrative center is located in Chardon, where technical services, computer services, facilities and administrative functions reside. GCPL houses more than 750,000 books and digital books. The collection also contains more than 100,000 audio / video items. About 400 research databases available via its website.
