Geauga Growth Partnership Recognized by Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50

Lake and Geauga County presidents, CEOs, owners and other executives from the leading businesses in the region gathered together Thursday  evening, November 2nd at the 25th Annual Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50 Awards Dinner and Celebration, held at LaMalfa Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Mentor.

The Fast Track 50 is an event that honors the region’s fastest growing companies in Lake and Geauga counties. Winners of the 2017 award are recognized for sales growth and employment growth from 2012 through 2016. Larger and smaller companies are awarded under Established and Emerging categories, with semi-finalists numbered 25 in each category.

The top winners in these two categories are: Top Emerging Company- Moving Ahead Services and Top Established Company – Jackson Taylor Contractors, LLC. To be eligible for the award, companies must be located within the two-county region, be organized as a for-profit business, and must have a sales profit for 2012 of at least $250,000.

In addition to these awards, Fast Track 50 recognized 2017 Game Changer of the Year – Patrick Perotti of Dworken & Bernstein; 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year – Apollo Siding Supply Co.; and the 2017 Nonprofit of the Year – Geauga Growth Partnership.

The NonProfit Award was presented for the first time this year. “This award,” according to Fast Track 50 guidelines, “recognizes an organization that has demonstrated a dedication to their mission in Lake and/or Geauga Counties. The organization has created and nurtured valuable community collaboration and partnership in advance of the work of the organization which has resulted in meaningful and measurable benefits to the community.”

“It is a true honor to receive this award,” says GGP President Tracy Jemison. “There are so many worthy non-profits in Lake and Geauga Counties. We have to attribute this success to GGP’s work to advance the Geauga business community.”
