…vicariously, through David McCullough’s antarctic accounts

Arched Iceberg-Antarctic Peninsula

Angry seas with 50-foot waves, penguins and pack ice, seals and seascapes all play a role in David McCullough’s month-long expedition. Share his saga in this special holiday weekend offering at our newest park.

Join David as he presents Antarctica, the Faulklands
& St. Georgia Island on Saturday, September 1 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Observatory Park.

A fun fact about this program: David McCullough, who has shared travel programs in the past, will present for the first time in the new Robert McCullough Science Center, a building named for his father, a retired well-known local educator and former president of Geauga Park District’s Board of Park Commissioners.

Said Naturalist Services Director Diane Valen, “David has a remarkable gift for using his outstanding photographic images and engaging narration to make his audiences feel as if they were on the journey with him.”
