All invited to Geauga Public Library program party in the park.

Whether or not you participated in Geauga County Public Library’s Geauga W.O.R.K. Out challenge, please come celebrate with us in a fun-filled night at an International Dark Sky Park, one of only five east of the Mississippi!

What: Geauga W.O.R.K. Out Celebration!

When: Friday, August 12 – 7 to 9 p.m.

Where: Observatory Park, 10610 Clay Street, Montville Twp.

Activities for the whole family will include refreshments, the bookmobile, a 7 p.m. astronomy presentation at the Robert McCullough Science Center, a space walk and prize drawings, including a three-month youth membership to the Geauga YMCA.

The evening will be capped off by a free outdoor performance by the much-acclaimed Chardon Polka Band at 8 p.m. Please bring your chairs and blankets.

And if you’re loving Observatory Park as much as we do, stick around to enjoy the Meteors & Moths Overnight Event, with the annual Perseid Meteor Shower most visible between 1 and 3 p.m.!

RSVP’s are requested by calling any Geauga County Public Library branch.

Geauga Park District is online at www.geaugaparkdistrict.org, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
