Indie Author Day Coincides with Local Author Fair at Geauga County Public Library Chardon Branch

This year, Geauga County Public Library (GCPL) is merging what would be its fourth annual Local Author Fair on Saturday, October 13th with Indie Author Day, an event where aspiring writers, published authors, library professionals, publishers and literary marketers come together to create community around local, independent authors all across North America. The event will be held at the Chardon Branch (110 E. Park St., Chardon, Ohio 44024) from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

To kick things off, author J. Thorn, a Top 100 Most Popular Author in Horror, Science Fiction, Action & Adventure and Fantasy (Amazon Author Rank), will give a one-hour presentation “The Authorpreneur: Understand Amazon.com”, which will share information on how to get your book seen, bought, and reviewed.

After the seminar, community members will have the chance to meet over twenty local authors who will be on hand to sell and sign books.

About the Geauga County Public Library

The Geauga County Public Library includes four full-service branches in Bainbridge, Chardon, Chesterland (Geauga West) and Middlefield; two library stations housed in schools in Newbury and Thompson; two Bookmobiles that serve rural areas and community centers; a Lobby Stop vehicle; a car for homebound patrons; and an administrative center where technical services, computer services, facilities and administrative functions reside. GCPL has more than 750,000 books and ebooks. The collection also contains more than 100,000 audio / video items and 400 research databases available through its website.
