Kenston Center Stage Presents “Leading Ladies” on Friday, November 10th

Colin Montville and Aron Butler are ready to entertain audiences in the Kenston Center Stage Fall Drama production of “Leading Ladies” on Friday, November 10th and Saturday, November 11th, at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m. in the Kenston High School, Lee Auditorium. The cast features Aron Butler, Julia Fugedy, Kennan Garceau, Megan Herbruck, Alex Hubert, Jack McDonough, Colin Montville, Anna Snyder, Nate Wasinski and Phillip Witmer-Rich.

Ken Ludwig’s Leading Ladies is a comedy about two English Shakespearean actors who find themselves so down on their luck that they are performing “Scenes from Shakespeare” on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. When they hear that an old lady in York, PA is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews, they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. The trouble is, when they get to York, they find out that the relatives aren’t nephews, but nieces! Romantic entanglement abound.

All tickets are $10.00 and general seating is first come first served. You can purchase tickets online or at the door an hour before curtain.

First grade students Aiden Currutt-Weisend and Aria Lemon, of Ms. Kristine Edwards 1st Grade class, are using math benchmarks and scientist tools to make estimates for the Great Pumpkin Estimation Investigation.

Save the Date – KMS Drama to perform Disney’s Beauty and the Beast

Mark your calendar – Kenston Middle School will be presenting Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. on Friday, January 19th at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 20th at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Kenston High School, Robert A. Lee Auditorium.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Timmons Elementary Lunch Bunch

Congratulations to Timmons Elementary School Students selected for Lunch Bunch honors in October. The following Kindergartners honored with Respect awards were Emily Ayyappan, Victoria Closs, Blake Pfenning, Mason Puma, Luke Rice, Andrew Rosneck, Andrew Solak and Avery Stroble. First graders honored were Beckham Camara, Canaan DeLoach, Carter Henning, Aria Lemons, Katelyn Liotta, Kennice Murray, Henry Myles and Jaxsen Timmons. Second graders were Maylin Byan, Eyla Brudno, Iszabella Ersek, Addison Lowe, Hailey Niehenke, Jonathan (J.J.) Somich and Myles White. Third graders were Jackson Allotta, Jamie Ashby, Sydney Corcoran, Job Pahner, Sadie Petrash, Chianne Rondo, Warren Stevens and Joseph Triscaro.
