Since 1964, Kent State University at Geauga remains the only institution of higher learning in one of the fastest growing counties in the state of Ohio.The Geauga Campus is one of the seven regional campuses of the Kent State University system and is strategically and conveniently located on 87 acres of land in the approximate geographic center of Geauga County. The campus is positioning itself for growth as more families choose Geauga County and several surrounding counties as their home base. For 50 years, Kent State Geauga has remained faithful to their mission to provide a superior education for a diverse student population in a creative learning environment preparing students to participate fully in society.

Serving its nearly 2800 student base, the Kent Geauga branch offers students with quality academic instruction in several key areas. It provides a wide variety of Kent Core courses along with 2 year and 4 year degree programs. Every effort is made to assure success by providing basic skills through computer testing, developmental education courses, tutoring in selected subjects, and reasonable accommodations for the learning disabled and for those with physical handicaps.

Kent State Geauga offers a wide range of certificate, associate, and bachelor degree programs, such as a BSN nursing degree program and Bachelor of Science in Middle Childhood Education. In addition, they offer a Master of Science in Technology degree. Students can complete all required coursework for several certificates, associate degrees, bachelor degrees and one master degree program without ever leaving campus. The first two years of coursework are applicable toward many of the 272 academic programs available at Kent State University.

The Kent Geauga Campus also serves a number of high school students in their Post Secondary program where high school students can get a jump start on their college degrees by taking courses their junior or senior year and receive college credit.
