The Buckle brothers, Billy and Tom, are in big trouble: Tom’s infallible eye for slow horses has drained away all of Billy’s savings and he has borrowed from loan shark Pizza Face Petrillo, who now wants his money back or else!

There’s plenty of money in grandfather Buckle’s will, but these two black sheep are pretty sure they’ll never see any of that. What else to do but dress Billy up as a nun and have him pose as their cousin who is to inherit the entire fortune?

That’s the premise of this zany show. Two actors are on the Geauga Lyric Theater stage for their first main season show and are having a good time bringing their characters to life – immersing themselves in these situations.

Erika Hansen, Executive Director of The GLTG, has performed several times at Chagrin Valley Little Theater, and at last year’s Art Jam production of Around the World in 80 Days. Her character of Miss Macintosh, a mobster’s floozy, has her losing her inhibitions, “Because Miss Macintosh doesn’t have any!”

Paula Santa, who plays a woman named Virginia, has been impressed by her welcome. “Everyone (my fellow cast mates, director and production crew) has been so warm, welcoming and supportive. They really make me feel like a part of the GLTG family. Come ready to laugh and have a good time!”

Lie, Cheat and Genuflect will run weekends February 26-28 and March 4-13. Friday and Saturday shows are at 8 p.m., and Sunday shows are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15, $13 and $8, and are available online or at the box office by calling 440-286-2255. Special thanks to our Marquee Sponsor Gem Electric.

The historic Geauga Theater is located on beautiful Chardon Square at 101 Water Street, Chardon, Ohio.
