The Salvation Army Red Kettles will be out in the coming weeks with volunteers from Geauga Rotary, Geauga Interact Clubs, Leadership Geauga Youth Program, and members of various youth groups. All donations placed in Geauga County’s Red Kettles remain in Geauga County to help our neighbors with emergency assistance such as home heating costs, past due rent, and gas cards to get to work.
In 2017, over $29,000 was raised and used in Geauga county to provide help to families in need. The Rotary Clubs of Burton-Middlefield, Chagrin Valley, Chardon, and Chesterland are working together with youth members of the Interact Clubs from Chardon, Kenston, and West Geauga on December 8th and 15th.
Look for your Red Kettle and Rotary bell ringers at your local Giant Eagle, Chardon and Middlefield Wal-Marts, Chagrin Starbucks, the Bainbridge Drug Mart, Mazzulo’s Market and Yours Truly in Chagrin Falls. This is the 24th year the Rotarians have been ringing for Geauga Residents in need. Donations big and small make an impact in our community.
