Ledgemont Elementary Pre-K Receives Five Star Rating!
Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) is a five–star quality rating and improvement system administered by the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
SUTQ recognizes and promotes learning and development programs that meet quality program standards that exceed licensing health and safety regulations. Programs with a five-star ratings are focused on continuous improvement. They focus on student readiness and assessment, establishing developmental goals and activities, preparing students for transitioning to kindergarten, and valuing relationships with families and communities. We are proud of the preschool staff for their hard work and dedication toward helping our youngest learners to develop their self-confidence social/emotional skills, and a love of learning that will help them find success in school and in life.
Investing in high-quality preschool programming pays tremendous dividends for our families and our community as more young learners have access to the support they need to become kindergarten ready. We congratulate and thank Danna Meek and Dee McGee on their ongoing commitment to ensuring that our children have the best opportunities to succeed before they enter kindergarten. Currently, the LE preschool follows an integrated model serving children identified with a disability/delay and also peer models. Would your family be interested if we were able to offer a morning pre-school program for all children as well? If so, please contact Miss Timmons or our curriculum director at 440.834.3380 ext 2108 or email [email protected].
