Golden Opportunity

Kenston’s Timmons Elementary School Grandparents Day is a high point of the year. First graders invite a grandparent or senior adult to spend the morning back in the classroom. The learning that takes place creates lasting memories for students and grandparents.

All Academic

Congratulations to the students who earned All Academic honors for 2016/2017 Winter Sports. To be selected for this award students must have a cumulative average after seven semesters of 3.25 GPA or better and have lettered in their sport for two years. Basketball student athletes were Grace Adams, Joshua Kain, Brad Randorf and Justin Stratton. Ice Hockey student athletes, Von Houk, Cole Lombardi and Will Mulhern earned All Academic Honors. Cheerleaders, Erica Adams and Kate Powell were honored with All Academic awards. Swimming and Dive team members honored with All Academic Awards were Isaac Cooper, April Leygraff and Karlee Schultz. Wrestler, Brad Verbic received All Academic honors. Gymnasts, Sarah Highlander, Caroline Lucey, Elizabeth Monroe and Gabriela Salvini were honored with All Academic Awards. Bowlers, Ryan Conover, Zach Eyler, Samantha Fromet and Anne Marie Rizzo earned All Academic honors.

KHS Career Day

High school students learned about owning your own business during the Kenston Career Fair from Jeff Griff of Lowe’s Greenhouse. Fifty-five professionals shared information about their job, career path and schooling with over 1,000 students. Students found the presentations informative and interesting as they plan for their future.

Disney Performing Arts Onstage

Over Spring Break, members of the Kenston High School Band and Chorus traveled to Walt Disney World to perform and participate in onstage experience as well as workshops.

Bomberettes Dance at Disney

The Kenston Bomberette Dance team performed and worked with professional choreographers and show directors to explore the world of dance in a Disney show environment. The Bomberettes performed at Disney Springs over Spring Break along with members of the band and chorus.
