On June 22nd, at 6:00 p.m., Rescue Village will be launching their Speaker Series with hometown hero and founder of One Million Acts of Kindness, Bob Votruba and his Boston Terrier, Bogart. The duo will discuss Bob’s heart-felt work of inspiring the world to make compassionate choices.

In the near future, Rescue Village plans to bring in a variety of speakers who have messages that tie to their mission of creating a more humane community and host events similar to this first one.

Bob Votruba is in the middle of a nationwide tour, “Ring Our Country with Kindness,” travelling 10,000 miles with Bogart in his “Kindness Bus” which is heavily decorated with messages of kindness. His programs feature messages of kindness, anti-bullying, and compassion.

Bob will be bringing his message of kindness to Rescue Village on June 22nd at 6:00 p.m. where he will be signing and selling his books, speaking on this topic, and joining guests for tours of the local animal shelter. He will also be present at Rescue Village’s Children’s Summer Animal Camp during that entire day, teaching campers ages 9-12 his mission.

This first installment of the Rescue Village Speaker Series is a free event but seats are guaranteed by registering at: bit.ly/onemillionacts. All ages are welcome to join in on this program. Light refreshments, including ice cream, will be provided.

For questions on this event specifically, please contact the Rescue Village Education Coordinator, Nicole Latosky, at [email protected] or Marketing Coordinator, Leah Backo, at [email protected].
