Shop the 11th and Final Year of Art Takes a Bough on Thursday, December 7 at The West Woods Nature Center

Presented an 11th and final year with the Geauga Council for Arts & Culture, the Art Takes a Bough Ornament Reception will be yours to enjoy the evening of Thursday, December 7th at The West Woods Nature Center.

From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., come admire and purchase handmade holiday ornaments created by regional artists through the council’s Art Takes a Bough Community Art Project, plus refreshments, togetherness and holiday cheer.

Bill Hixson, accomplished floral designer who has assisted with holiday decorating at The White House for more than 30 years, also returns to tell humorous stories centered on decorating various rooms within the White House, share folklore surrounding ornament designs and holiday traditions, and demo his skills. Some of his own ornaments will also be available for sale and signing.

“Geauga Park District hopes to continue inviting Mr. Hixson to present an annual holiday program,” said Teresa Runion, special events coordinator. “His portion of the event is always memorable and entertaining.”

As always, 50 percent of sales go directly to the artist, while the remainder is split evenly between the Geauga Council for Arts & Culture and Geauga Park District.

It’s a joyous, fun-filled event that decorates your heart and home!
