Volunteers are needed for Geauga Growth Partnership Junior Career Day Programs when 11th Grade Students from Berkshire (January 9th) and Cardinal & Newbury (January 11th) will be participating in career day programs that help students build their resume and learn valuable interviewing skills.
The benefit to students? They learn how to recognize their transferable skills and get “on the spot” real world interview practice through a mock interview process. Having this knowledge can give them a leg up when competing for a job.
Volunteers are needed both days and here’s how you can help!
- Help guide them as they prepare their resume, or review what they have already created and then be “the company rep” interviewing them during a mock interview. The time commitment is from 9:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and lunch is provided.
- Be “the company rep”interviewing them during a mock interview. The time commitment is from 12:15 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Students get the most from this experience because what you bring to their experience is invaluable! Instructions and sample interview questions are provided.
Your help would be greatly appreciated!
