Walk to End Alzheimer’s: Join Annette & FirstLight HomeCare of Chardon

Dear Family, Friends and Caregivers,

As many of you are aware, my position as owner of FirstLight HomeCare is a journey in an effort to make a difference in the lives of those I care for and employ. Through this journey, I look to provide support and assistance to causes that touch my heart that positively impact my community.

Alzheimer’s disease is quickly becoming one of the leading causes of death in the United States. Between 2000 and 2010 the death rate increased 68%. In 2013, an estimated 450,000 people will die in the United States alone.

Alzheimer’s disease is a criminal. It quietly slips into a person’s life and robs them of those things most precious; memories, personality and independence. This terrifying disease has no known cause, and no known cure. The fight begins with us to raise awareness and to support research and education.

Please join my team at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and let’s walk together on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at:

Holden Arboretum
9550 Sperry Road
Kirtland, OH 44094

8:30 am- Activities/ 9:30- Ceremony / 9:45- 1 and 3 mile Walks

Once you enter for the Walk, you can stay the day with your family and enjoy the grounds. Food vendors will be available as well as activities for kids. This is the first walk on the East Side and the venue could not be more perfect. Please join me and help raise funds for Alzheimer’s research – a disease that will touch all of us at some point in our lives.

Annette
