Offering local shopping in one of the county’s most popular parks, Geauga Park District’s West Woods Wednesdays Farm Market continues this summer the second Wednesday of each month through September – a one-stop shop for all your mid-week, farm-fresh needs.

Make sure your calendars are marked for the remaining two markets from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.:

  • August 8th
  • September 12th

Approved vendors are already excited to bring their honey items, maple syrup, produce, flavored nuts, beef and vegan jerky, bakery, handmade soaps and lotions, sauces, jams, up-cycled handmade bags, hand-forged items, self-watering planters, lanterns made from recycled bottles, birdhouses/bird feeders, kettle corn and snow cones. For a complete list of vendors attending each month’s market, visit the new Geauga Park District under Activities, then Special Events & Art Shows.

Plus, strolling musicians will provide ambient music – Jesse Huge in August and Rebecca Wohlever in September – and an onsite food truck will serve dinner and snack options for purchase. Come out after work and make it an evening in the park!

The West Woods is located at 9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87) in Russell Township. With questions, please call 440-286-9516.

Geauga Park District still accepts applications from interested farm market vendors, particularly those with fresh produce, flowers, breads/baked items, handmade items and similar products. Visit the new Geauga Park District under Activities, then Special Events & Art Shows, to find a link to the 2018 vendor application.

For more on Geauga Park District offerings, please call 440-286-9516 or visit Geauga Park District online via Geauga Park District, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube.
