Soccer
The soccer team beat Bloomfield on Saturday 6-1. Brandon Wicks had 4 goals and Gary Lundstrom has 2 assists as the Huskies improved to 7-4 on the season. On Tuesday, the Huskies played Independence to a 1-1 tie.
Cross Country
The boys and girls cross country teams had strong showings at the Woodridge Invitational on Saturday. The girls finished 15th out of 21 teams and were the highest placing D3 team in the field. The Huskies were led by the strong running of Emily Kruse and the return of Anna Futty. The boys finished 16th out of 22 teams. Brandon Neikirk led the Huskies and the strong pack running of Josh Minnick, Alec Wolff, and Christian Noreika.
The boys cross country team placed 3rd out of 9 teams at the George Gross Invitational Wednesday. The Huskies were led by a solid effort by medalists Brandon Neikirk and Josh Minnick. Alec Wolff fell one place short of medal contention. Christian Noreika and Logan Daw also stepped up to propel the Huskies to 3rd. The girls finished 4th out of 6 teams in a competitive race.
Volleyball
The Huskies Volleyball team continued their undefeated streak in the CVC by defeating Kirtland on Tuesday in 4 sets. Caitlyn LeChene had 10 kills, 8 blocks, and 2 digs while Alyssa Shirkey added 14 kills, 2 blocks, 8 service points and 7 digs. Maddie Bean had 39 assists, 5 service aces, 12 points, 11 digs and 3 kills. Kaitlin Bean added 12 kills, 8 points, and a match-high 19 digs for the Huskies. Tia Mastascusa had 7 kills while Becca Klein and Kayla Neikirk added 18 digs and 8 digs respectively.
On Thursday, the Huskies lost in 3 sets to West Geauga.
