FabLab Schedule at Burton Elementary May 27-30

On May 7, Andrea Lane, director of the FabLab from the Great Lakes Science Center, visited all of the students at Burton Elementary to introduce the FabLab and how each grade level will be participating. You can read the full story HERE.

Here is the schedule that the students will be following May 27 – 30:

The day will start at 9 a.m. and end by 3 p.m. each day.

Tuesday

The FABLab from the Great Lakes Science Center arrived Tuesday morning, May 27, 2014 with a number of planned activities for the week for all of the students at Burton Elementary.

Pictured is Andrea Lane, a trainer and technology consultant for Fablab technologies, teaching students, teachers, and community members how to use a FABLab within a school.

Wednesday

9 -11 a.m.
1st graders construction of compost bin, watering cans, designing of watering cans, designing of rakes.

12:15 to 3 p.m.
2nd graders same as above

Thursday

9 to 11 a.m.
3rd graders construction of work table, legacy piece, construction of stools, legacy piece.

12:15 to 3 p.m.
4th graders construction of compost bin, watering cans, designing of watering cans, designing of rakes, application of legacy piece.

Friday

9 to11 a.m.
5th graders construction of compost bin, watering cans, designing of watering cans, designing of rakes.

12:15 to 3 p.m.
6th graders assembly line for the watering system construction.
