Attention adult readers: Great reading adventures and chances to win prizes await you at any Geauga County Public Library (GCPL) location. Adults can get in on the summer-reading fun by entering a GCPL contest. Simply read a book, fill out a ballot, and drop it in the summer-reading box near that circulation desk. All genres are game. Whether you enjoy history, biography, romance, mystery, literary fiction or even cook books, the library has something to inspire you. Why not get in on the fun?
The contest runs from Monday, June 16 through Saturday, July 26. Weekly drawings are held at each building for prizes such as gift cards for gas, books, apps and even to favorite local establishments and sporting events. Grand prizes are even bigger. Could there be a tablet in your future? There’s only one way to find out. Head to any GCPL location and explore the literary elements of your next reading adventures.
“Often, people think of library reading programs as being exclusive to children and teens,” says Carol Tuttle, Head of Adult Services, Assistant Manager at Chardon Library. “And while we are extremely proud of our youth reading programs, the adult reading contests, programs and discussions are just as notable. We welcome adults from all over Geauga County to stop by any of our libraries and enjoy great reading opportunities. And who knows, you may just win a prize simply for reading.”
