On the evening of Tuesday, June 16, the GANG (Geauga Arts Network Group) program will feature Chesterland-based painter and sculptor, Bert Self. Host for the evening will be local photographer Frank Fendi. This educational program, which is free and open to the general public, will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Heinen’s Cafe, 402 Center Street in Chardon, Ohio. No reservations are necessary.

Bert Self’s artistic life takes its inspiration from the beauty of nature, “as God designed it and revealed it.” Although she is currently working primarily on oil paintings and sculptures, her media interests are broad and encompass cartooning, illustration, large-scale acrylics on pegboard, glass blowing and even dance. Her talk will focus on her life as an artist and the sources of her inspiration.

Self’s work can be seen in various galleries and art shows across Northeast Ohio and on her web site at www.bertselfcreations.com.
