The Geauga County 4H Giggles ‘n Stitches sewing club recently voted in their leadership for the 2016 year, during their March meeting. Advised by Julia Wood and Beth Ward, the club voted Katherine Baumgartner president; Graycen Wood vice president; Elizabeth Cooper club secretary; Sarah Ward treasurer, with Grace Toth elected junior treasurer; Jordan Spehar news reporter/correspondent; Angela Aquila and Madison Thomas the club’s Health and Safety Officers; Olivia Penzenik hospitality coordinator; and Olivia Hall, Katherine Penzenik, and Sammie Sunderhaft share the job of club historians. The club’s next gathering will be in May at the JoAnn Fabric and Craft Store in Hudson, where the members will choose patterns and fabrics to begin their sewing projects. Another event the club is doing is donating their time to the Sisters of Notre Dame, creating flowers pins and handwritten notes.
