Kindergarten Registration
We are excited to begin registering the 2017-2018 Chardon Schools Kindergarten Class! To be eligible to attend Kindergarten this Fall, a child must be five years old on or before August 1, 2017. The District offers two educational options:

1.) All-Day-Every-Other-Day Kindergarten where students attend Tue/Thu or Wed/Fri and alternating Mondays
2.)Tuition based All-Day-Every-Day (ADEK) Kindergarten class which is currently housed at Park Elementary School

Parents and guardians of children entering kindergarten are invited to attend a special Kindergarten Information Night on February 1, 2017 to learn about our kindergarten program, meet the principals, teachers, fellow parents, and begin the registration process. Join us at 6:30 PM in the Middle School Large Group Instruction Room (LGIR).

You can begin the registration process by going to the Chardon Schools homepage at Chardon Schools and completing the online registration form. To complete the registration process, we ask that you schedule an appointment with the elementary school your child will be attending. If you are unsure of what school your child will be attending, please call our Transportation Dept. at 440-285-4069.

This appointment will take approximately twenty minutes. You must bring your child’s birth certificate (original), one proof of residency (e.g. Driver’s license, voter registration card, utility bill, credit card statement, lease agreement, or affidavit of residence), immunization records and any legal documents pertaining to family situations (i.e., guardianship, custody) to your registration. It is permissible, but not necessary, for you to bring your child to registration.

They explained to the students that Vulture populations are in steep decline all around the world. They are keystone species and the only animals that specialize on eating carrion. They help to regulate disease by consuming waste in the environment. Pictured are the winners of the classroom’s Save the Vulture Contest.

The high school students routinely visit the students to play math games, proofread writing assignments, and provide other helpful tutoring services. It’s win-win situation, with the older students gaining important insights into child development, and the younger students benefiting from the one-on-one assistance.

Complete and Total is an original play by local playwriting Greg Vovos about the dangers of heroin and drug addiction. It follows the story of a high school student with a bright future ahead of him, but heroin and addiction quickly become his top priority. The mind, the only sober part left of his brain, believes in his ability to become clean, but it’s not that simple. This was a powerful play with a powerful message and we appreciate the student actors who presented this timely story to our student body.
