To culminate their Gingerbread Man unit, the Kindergarten students in Mrs. Courtney Dyer’s class decorated gingerbread cookies with frosting, sprinkles, chocolate chips, and M&Ms! Throughout this unit, the class read different versions of the gingerbread man story, compared and contrasted the setting, characters, problem, and solution.
Students sequenced the events and came up with different endings for the story. We’re told students had so much fun learning about gingerbread men and then decorating and eating their own creations! What a great way to kick off the winter break!!
