The American Legion, Geauga County Council is having a Benefit Chicken and Dumpling Dinner for Geauga County Veterans In Need on Saturday, January 19, 2012, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Burton American Legion Post #459.
Donation is $15. Advance sale is $12. Children 12 & under is $8 at the door.

This November Geauga County lost a Korean War veteran unexpectedly. His sudden demise left his widow in dire financial straits.With all the unexpected bills, car repairs, and Christmas approaching she was out of money. These fundraisers which you have so generously supported in the past allowed the Council to present her with almost $1000 to provide immediate help and salvage what she could of Christmas.
