The Chardon Community Action Team (CCAT) is pleased to announce that we have awarded our second ever scholarship to Chardon graduate Danielle Scerbo.

The CCAT works in our community to reduce the use of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs among our youth through education and activities. Every year the Chardon Community Action Team sponsors a number of events, such as our annual Car & Motorcycle Show on August 10, making this scholarship possible.

The CCAT was pleasantly overwhelmed to review the 27 applicants who have chosen to grow up without the influence of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol. Each applicant not only met all scholarship criteria, but exceeded them.

“Congratulations to each and every one of the applicants who applied for this scholarship offered by CCAT,” said Coco Griffis, chairman of the Scholarship Committee. “It is truly a great thing to see so many fine youth choosing to live a healthy life.”

To find out more about CCAT’s very important mission or more about one of our many events, please visit our website. We encourage anyone with an interest in our mission to attend one of our monthly meetings held on the third Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Chardon Municipal Center located at 111 Water Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024.
