SUMMARY:Merry Mentor – Santa\, Mentor Top 25 and a Chance to Win Holiday Cash
DESCRIPTION:New event comes to town sharing family holiday fun and activities.\n  \nHolidays are meant to be shared with neighbors and friends and Mentor Nissan will be doing just that with a new event called Merry Mentor!  Merry Mentor will be held from 2:00pm-4:00pm Saturday\, December 11\, at Nissan’s 6960 Center Street location in Mentor.  All are invited and reservations are not needed for this free holiday event. \n  \nThe afternoon will be filled with holiday magic complete with the big man himself\, Santa Clause! Santa will be greeting the kids and available for photos.  Santa’s visit includes each child receiving a candy cane and taking home Magic Reindeer Food from the North Pole\, sure to attract the reindeers and Santa’s sleigh Christmas Eve! \n  \nAdditional activities include a holiday card making station\, holiday songs with Mentor High School’s Top 25\, Merry Munchies of holiday cookies\, juice boxes\, and Moe’s Southwest Grill’s famous chips and salsa\, and a holiday cash giveaway with the chance to win one of two $150 cash prizes! \n  \nTo enter the cash giveaway\, you simply need to attend the event!  Each attendee will receive a holiday cash giveaway ticket to be entered into the drawing. DESCRIPTION:Blackbrook Audubon Society invites everyone to the “Amazing Galapagos”  a free presentation by photographer Alan Studt and Gale Franko 7:00 p.m. Tuesday\, October 19 at Penitentiary Glen’s Nature Center in Kirtland. They will take the audience 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador to the place where Darwin’s theories were born and help them experience giant tortoises\, prehistoric-looking iguanas\, and other species found nowhere else on earth. The range of the Galapagos Penguin extends just beyond the equator\, making this penguin the only one to live in the northern hemisphere. \nParticipants can attend the program in person or register on the event page of blackbrookaudubon.org to receive a link to view the program live online. While the program starts at 7:00 p.m.\, Trevor Wearstler\, the host and president of Blackbrook\, will open access to the meeting about 6:30 p.m. so people can familiarize themselves with the software features or chat with other attendees. DESCRIPTION:CHARDON\, OHIO – With the arrival of fall it is time again for the family friendly Fall Fest\, which brought to you each year by the City of Chardon. \n  \nThis year’s the Fall Fest will be held on October 2\, from 7 PM to 9 PM\, on the Historic Chardon Square. The evening will include hot dogs and cider\, s’mores\, scarecrow making\, balloon artist\, live music by DJ\, and face painting. A special thanks for helping goes out to the Rotary Club of Chardon\, the Chardon Area Kiwanis\, the Chardon Square Association helping with activities. \n \nAs in prior years\, the Chardon Area Kiwanis will be leading the scarecrow project. This year there will be gift cards awarded for the three best scarecrows. If you would like to enter your scarecrow\, take a picture of your creation standing or seating on your porch\, and text it to 440-796-6477 before October 9th. We do require a face covering to be worn and worn correctly when on our property. You can have fun with a mask on! Wear your costume or search for one at our Magical Meadow Market of Fairy inspired arts and crafts and sweet Fairy treats for sale. We’ll have the booths spaced far apart and our merchants will sanitize often and limit the number of shoppers in their booths at one time. \nWe’ll have some of the crafts prepared so you can take them home with you to limit your contact with others. Our important guest fairies\, like the silent and mysterious Bubble Fairy\, will amaze you with her magic while spaced along the Fairy Trail.
