SUMMARY:11th Annual Caveman Crawl 5K Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:Stretch your hairy legs at the Caveman Crawl 5K Trail Run & 1-Mile Fun Walk and join a new collaboration of cave clans to celebrate 11 years of running together! For the first time in 2022\, the Foundation for Geauga Parks joins Geauga Park District to raise money for a great cause: an exciting new play-and-learn feature at Frohring Meadows in Bainbridge Township. \n  \nEarly registration\, just $20\, is now open at http://bit.ly/2022cavemancrawl for the 11th annual Caveman Crawl – a trail-pounding\, heart-pumping\, costume-wearing\, all-ages athletic event to be held Sunday\, June 12\, at The West Woods in Russell Township. The first 250 registrants get a race T-shirt\, too! Race-day registration begins at 7 a.m.\, and the race itself steps off at 9 a.m.\, with some free food and awards afterwards. Feeling especially fun and festive? Don your finest prehistoric garb for a chance to win a special handcrafted Best Costume award in youth or adult categories! \n  \nCaveman Crawl 5K Trail Run & 1-Mile Fun Run \nSunday\, June 12\, 2022\, in The West Woods \nRegistration 7 AM \nCostume Contest 8:30 AM \nRace Start 9 AM \nCaveman garb encouraged! \n  \nCaveman Crawl 5K participants follow a course of primarily well graded dirt and gravel with minimal pavement running. Run it\, walk it\, or opt to walk the 1-Mile Fun Walk course through the woods\, with all funds benefiting the new Pollinator Garden and Nature Play area under construction this summer in Geauga Park District’s Frohring Meadows. Together\, we will help protect habitats for our important pollinating species and create nature play for our little cave-kids.
