DESCRIPTION:The Friends & Family of the Metzenbaum Center will be hosting its 35th Annual Quilt and Craft Auction on Saturday\, November 4th\, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Metzenbaum Center\, located at 8200 Cedar Road\, Chesterland. \nThis event is sponsored by Friends & Family of the Metzenbaum Center and is one of most popular events held for the community. All proceeds benefit the individuals served by the Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (GCBDD). \nA pancake breakfast will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.\, and a hot lunch\, refreshments and Amish baked goods will also be available. \nItems in the silent auction will include handmade wreaths\, chests\, Amish rockers\, handcrafted toys\, items from local businesses and over 25 handmade quilts. \nThere will also be a “holiday shop\,” a cash and carry gift shop for people who would prefer not to participate in the auction. \nFree parking outside of the Metzenbaum Center and a shuttle service that will transport people to and from the parking lot will be available.

DESCRIPTION:Experience the excitement of an old-fashioned Amish Quilt and Craft Auction on Saturday\, November 1\, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. \nat the Metzenbaum Center\, located at 8200 Cedar Road\, in Chesterland. Early risers may also enjoy a hearty all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast\, complete with Geauga County’s rich maple syrup from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.Admission and parking to the auction are FREE. The pancake breakfast will cost $7 for adults\, $4 for children 3 to 12\, and children 2 and under are free\, payable at the door. \nGuests at the Quilt & Craft Auction will have an opportunity to bid on more than 25 hand-made Amish quilts\, Amish hand-made wood furniture\, crafts and much more. A silent auction\, Chinese raffle\, huge Amish bakery\, and cash & carry Holiday Shop will round out the day’s activities. \n“There are always hundreds of items to bid on at our Silent Auction and Chinese Raffles held in the halls of the Metzenbaum Center and beautiful handmade items in the live auction\,” says Patti Gallagher\, chairperson of the Metzenbaum Quilt & Craft Auction.” Again this year will be Two (2) 50/50 drawings at 12:30 and also at the end of the live auction. \nSponsored by Families and Friends of the Metzenbaum Center\, proceeds will go to support the children and adults with developmental disabilities served by the Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
