The Buckeye Trail: Follow the Blue Blazes

The West Woods, Nature Center
The Buckeye Trail winds around Ohio, reaching into every corner of the state. This program will offer the history and evolution of Ohio’s scenic hiking trail with an overview and characteristics of its various unique sections. A brief presentation by the Burton section supervisors, who have successfully rerouted portions of the trail from road to off-road, will be followed by a Q&A with the Crooked River Chapter, Buckeye Trail Association members, volunteers and hikers. Wheelchair/stroller accessible.
Maple Town Tune Traders

Woodcock Watch

Burton Wetlands Nature Preserve
A behind-the-bushes look at the courtship antics of a unique bird, the American Woodcock, highlighted by an amazing aerial ballet with “wingsong” followed by a careening descent – a true rite of spring! Partially wheelchair/stroller accessible. Nature’s Not to Be Missed.

Walter C. Best Wildlife Preserve, Sunset Shelter
