The Gurney Service-Learning Club is an organization of third graders who give of their time and talent to help those in the community through a series of service projects.
The goals of the club are to build leadership skills, take action to improve the community, build new friendships, learn about the world in an interactive way, and gain a sense of inner satisfaction from having done something meaningful.
In March, the students visited the residents of South Franklin Circle and Hamlet. They enjoyed making a leprechaun art project for St. Patrick’s Day.
