Help us celebrate Hambden Elementary turning 90 years old on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 6:30 in the evening. Our doors will be open to welcome former students and teachers as well as current faculty, students, and their families and friends, plus anyone else with an interest in history.
We have been collecting class pictures, memorabilia, and other artifacts to display. Our educational journey starts with displays in the gym, from the first school, organized in 1809 (that was held in a log cabin near the corner of Rt. 608 and Rt. 6) to our current brick building and classes today.
Parking will be at the school, the Town Hall, and the township park across the street. We thank the Chardon Schools Foundation for funding this important event.
