Rescue Village, Geauga County’s Humane Society, will be holding a “Clear the Shelter” event this week Thursday, December 29th – Saturday, December 31st with the hope of adopting out ALL current residents before 2017. The theme of the event will be “Adopt 1; Save 2.”
If an adopter agrees to sponsor an animal for just one month in 2017 ($15.00), all adoption fees will be waived with the exception of the dog license fee ($15.75). This means that prices for cats, kittens, and other animals will be just $15 and prices for dogs will be $30.75 (including the dog license fee).
Rescue Village currently has 13 dogs, 23 cats, 3 barn animals, and 3 chinchillas in need of loving homes with more expected to be put up for adoption on Thursday. To learn about each of our animals and to learn about the adoption process, check out Geauga Humane Society.
Rescue Village hours for this event will be Thursday and Friday, 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Rescue Village hopes that this adoption event will allow all current animals to be in a home by 2017 to make room for the many more who will coming in January.
