DESCRIPTION:The Friends will hold their annual Chess Tournaments on all Saturdays in February at the Library. \nWeek 1: February 1st: grades K – 5\, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm \nWeek 2: February 8th: grades 6 – 8\, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm \nWeek 3: February 15th: grades 9 – 12\, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm \nWeek 4: February 22th: adults\, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. \nEnter through the back door of the library and please be ready at 9:30 am so the tournaments can start promptly. \nThis tournament is Swiss-type\, providing each player with four games. Three certificates will be awarded in each division. Prior tournament competition is not necessary. Players should bring their own standard chess sets and a snack or lunch and beverage. Players are expected to complete all four of their games. Players must register in advance. There is no entrance fee required. \nFor registration and information call 440.834.4466.
