DESCRIPTION:Protect Geauga Parks has created this Conservation Scholarship to assist students in Geauga County who plan to study the Natural Sciences. \nThree scholarships will be given in 2020. The amount of each scholarship is $1000.00. \nQualified applicants will: \nHave an interest in studying one of the Natural or Environmental Sciences\nHave demonstrated a commitment to conservation through participation in extra-curricular activities\, projects or part-time employment\nLive in or attend school in Geauga Co. and Graduate High School in the Spring of 2021\nApplications must include: \nContact information including Name\, Address\, e-mail and Phone number of the applicant and a parent or guardian\nAn original essay by the applicant of 500 – 1000 words. The essay must describe how your projects or activities demonstrate the importance of conservation to you and what you see as your best opportunity for contribution to the protection of the natural world.\nTwo letters of recommendation. The grants are offered to teachers of Pre-K through 12th grade holding a current Ohio teaching license who seek to supplement and further student education in the natural sciences and natural world. Protect Geauga Parks recognizes that 2020-21 will be a school year like no other\, therefore we will entertain proposals that utilize instruction that is in person\, remote/virtual or a combination of the two.
