Tag Time 2013 Dog Photo Contest

It is that time of the year again; time to make sure your furry friends have a license.

Ohio Law requires dogs over the age of 3 months to be licensed. The deadline to purchase a license (without a late fee) is January 31st, 2013.  The fee for a dog license is just $10. This will ensure that if your dog runs away and is found, your impounded dog will be held and every attempt will be made to contact you. If you have a change of address or phone number, call the Dog Warden or the County Auditor with the updated information so that there will be no delay in contacting you should your dog be impounded. If you find a stray dog with a Geauga County license tag, call either the Dog Warden or the County Auditor. They will supply you with information on the dog’s ownership.

Residents can now go online to register their dogs. Click HERE for more information. Put your mouse over the word DOG at the top of the page for licensing locations, online purchase, and forms.

Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.
