SUMMARY:The Grassroots of Grazing: Pasture Management Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District and Geauga County Farm Bureau are proud to present “The Grassroots of Grazing: Pasture Management Workshop”. \n\n\n\nOpen to anyone interested in better pastures\, join us on Saturday\, September 10th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm for an exciting workshop and walk at Connor Farms in Troy Township (17037 Claridon-Troy Road\, Burton Ohio 44021). \n\n\n\nLearn more about pasture management as we explore animal nutrition\, rotational grazing\, forage and weed identification\, pasture-based livestock production\, and pasture and hay management.  Gain knowledge\, ideas\, and inspiration from some of the buckeye state’s most “moo”ving presenters from ODA – Division of Soil and Water Conservation\, Martin Joyce and nationally recognized Grazing Specialist Bob Hendershot\, along with other local herdsmen and resource professionals. \n\n\n\nA delicious lunch of grass-fed burgers from the farm is included in the $10 registration cost.  Space is limited and advanced registration and payment are required by September 5th. \n\n\n\nTo register visit https://fs12.formsite.com/t4erFn/nckfo2spaq/index.html or contact Geauga SWCD at 440-834-1122 or gprunty@geaugaswcd.com. \n\nPlease come prepared for this outdoor program and don’t miss out… greener pastures ahead!
