SUMMARY:Newbury Celebrates 25th PTO Holiday Luncheon & Auction
DESCRIPTION:Silver anniversary…a momentous milestone worthy of celebration… a mark of tradition and time-honored dedication…25 years etching love on hearts of Newbury students and walls of the buildings which educate them… \n2013 marks the 25th year of the Annual Newbury PTO Holiday Luncheon and Auction. The years tie together many parents and community members in planning and celebrating this festivity – all with one purpose in mind: to raise funds to supplement the academic experience of Newbury’s students. \nFunds raised enable the PTO to support staff through conference meals\, staff appreciation events\, and wish list grants. In addition\, funds promote literacy and academic enrichment through Literacy Lunch\, the Young Author’s Conference\, COSI and more. Teachers and students benefit from updated classroom technology. Family and community development is encouraged through pre-game tailgate parties\, Holiday Shoppe\, family fun nights\, and the Annual Spring Carnival – a tradition longer standing than the luncheon! These funds have also provided playgrounds and playground equipment. \nThe day includes …\nChinese auction (three complimentary tickets with luncheon ticket purchase) abundant with the fantastic generosity of Geauga County and Cleveland area businesses and individuals. Plus\, all go home a winner with an extra drawing for those “lucky losers” of the Chinese auction! \n\nWhat a Girl Wants raffle (**see below for details!)\nWhet-your-appetite appetizers\, delicious lunch\, sweetly prepared dessert\, cash bar (wine/beer)\nHoliday gift for each guest\n\nAnd a few other sentiments and surprises along the way besides the memories with friends\, old and new. No parental or community requirements\, you just need be one who enjoys festivity\, and YOU ARE INVITED to kick-off the holiday season while encouraging visions of sugar plums in our children. \nJoin us Thursday\, December 5\, 2013\, from 10 – 3 p.m. at the atmosphere-filled E.O.U.V. Club (the Gottscheer Club of Cleveland\, Ohio) at 8636 Pekin Rd\, Novelty\, Ohio. We need each of you to make this event a success for our children! \nContact Susan Arnold\, 440-564-7754\, to reserve your ticket to this year’s celebration. Most table requests can be accommodated\, so invite friends and family to sit with you. All tickets ($34) reserved and paid for prior to Thanksgiving will be entered in a special drawing\, drawn at the luncheon. \nWe are excited to celebrate with you! \n** What a Girl Wants package includes five meals for two\, delivered\, courtesy of Hungry Bee Catering ($500 value); three hour detailed housecleaning\, courtesy of Professional House Cleaning Services\, Inc (value $270); one hour massage\, courtesy of Alicia’s Massotherapy ($60 value); $100 Visa card to Tower City\, courtesy of Tower City … and there may be a few surprise details added before the blessed ticket is drawn!
