SUMMARY:Holiday Music with Geauga Area Musicians
DESCRIPTION:The Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG) will be presenting its annual free Holiday Caroling Concert with Geauga County musician Nicky Bucur and his friends. They will be hosting area musicians in a Pre-Holiday Jam Session with songs of the season. Audience participation is welcome. This program will be held at the Heinen’s Café\, 402 Center Street in Chardon\, on Tuesday December 17th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. \nNicky is a freelance musician and volunteer who has been bringing joyful music to area families and organizations for many years. Musicians of all ages are welcome to bring their instruments and join in the fun. Participants are also encouraged to bring along holiday memorabilia or stories to share. \nThis event is free and open to the general public; no reservations are necessary. The Geauga Arts Network Group is an ad hoc group whose mission is to promote communication\, collaboration\, and cooperation across all artistic disciplines\, for artists living and/or working in Geauga County and surrounding communities. SUMMARY:Tom Zubek Art: Railroad Spikes\, Leather\, Wood\, and Spider Webs
DESCRIPTION: Zubek’s art work includes sculptural pieces incorporating railroad spikes which have leather and wood pieces with forms and patterns burned into them using an electrically heated pencil; and works incorporating real spider webs. He is also an expert on the airplane nose art that was used to decorate and sometimes convey messages on World War II aircraft. An active pilot\, who has owned a number of airplanes over the years\, he is a flying enthusiast whose childhood interest in model airplanes generated a lifelong passion for aviation. \nClick here for more event information. \n
