SUMMARY:DIY Fresh Greens Workshops for Adults and Tots
DESCRIPTION:Choose from four beautiful fresh evergreen arrangements\nDecking your halls always makes the holiday season come alive – but wouldn’t it be best if you could make your own decorations? Join Geauga Park District for its popular Holiday Greens Workshop to arrange fresh evergreens into one of four holiday arrangements…and don’t delay in signing up\, as these workshops have filled up fast at least four years in a row! \nWhat: Holiday Greens Workshop \nWhen: Saturday\, December 7 – 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. \nWhere: Swine Creek Reservation\, Lodge\n16004 Hayes Road\, Middlefield \nUpon registration – required online or by calling 440-286-9516 – you will be asked to select one of the following projects: wreath\, bronze candle holder\, 12-inch black wrought iron lantern\, or mantelpiece with candles. Drawings of all four options can be seen on the Bulletin Board. \n \nVarious evergreens\, pine cones and ribbons will be provided\, but you may also bring your own accents – after all\, this is your project to keep! \nAn $18 fee will be required upon registration\, and $5 will be due to the instructor at the program. You may also want to bring pruners and a plastic bag to protect your car seat from water. This wheelchair / stroller accessible workshop is suitable for ages 12 and up. \nFor those littler artists ages 3 to 5\, naturalists will also host a pint-sized\, educational version. \nWhat: Timbertots: Holiday Greens \nWhen: Saturday\, December 8 – 2 to 3 p.m. and\nSunday\, December 9 – 10 to 11 a.m. or 1 to 2 p.m. \nWhere: Swine Creek Reservation\, Lodge\n16004 Hayes Road\, Middlefield \nWith an adult\, kids will discover what’s cool about pine trees and other evergreens and make their own fun centerpiece to take home. Bows and pine cones will be provided\, but kids may also bring small decorations if they’d like. \nRegistration is required for Timbertots\, too\, or 440-286-9516.
