Burton Elementary Math Club presentation to the Board of Education
At the May 12 regular meeting of the Berkshire Board of Education, the Burton Elementary Math Club demonstrated their math skills. The students presented math problems concerning travel, stock prices, and home construction.
The Math Club is coached by our 6th grade math teacher Mrs. Janet Duns and parent Barb Emig. The students compete in the Greater Cleveland Council of Teachers Mathematics event. The focus is on encouraging math problem solving skills in a team format.
