Spring into the New Year with the Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District’s (SWCD) 2015 Spring Tree and Fish Sale!

The District continues to offer both conifer tree seedlings and an incredible variety of native “Root Production Method” (RPM) trees, shrubs, and plants. Whatever the need, Geauga SWCD is sure to have the trees and plants to accomplish any landscaping goal at a bargain price.

The Bare Root Seedling Packets are tree seedlings in packs of 25 and offer one tree species per pack of White Pine, Norway Spruce, or Blue Spruce.

The RPM trees, shrubs, and plants are all native species and sold as singles. Their large fibrous root systems promote higher survival and rapid growth. The RPM trees and shrubs come in 3-gallon containers. This year an incredible variety of tree species are offered including the Bald Cypress, Northern Red Oak, Bitternut Hickory, Sugar Maple, Yellowwood, and Black Gum.

Native shrubs available include American Witchhazel, Elderberry, Spicebush, and Wild Hydrangea.

Also new this year is a Blueberry Bush packet, which features three varieties of two-year-old plants. The individual native plants come in 1-gallon containers and include Butterfly Milkweed, Rough Blazing Star, and Slender Mountain Mint.

Rain barrels and compost tumblers are also available for year round backyard benefits!

You can also consider purchasing a gift certificate for our tree and fish sale to take the guesswork out of gift giving and provide unique, meaningful gifts that last long past the holiday season.
