GROWING FACIAL HAIR SUPPORT FOR TODAY’S YOUTH

NATIONAL BEARD & MUSTACHE ENTHUSIASTS TO GATHER IN CLEVELAND

Men and women sporting beards and mustaches of all shapes and sizes will unite for a competition, but also to raise awareness for Youth Challenge. Youth Challenge is a Cleveland-based organization that makes it possible for children and young adults with physical disabilities to participate in adaptive sports.

The 5th Annual Great Lakes Regional Beard and Mustache Championships – Presented by Melt Bar and Grilled is slated for Saturday, July 30, at the world-famous Cleveland Agora, with partner events for participants the days before and after the big show.

Beards of the Old Northwest, which takes great pride in its Cleveland-area community, has organized the weekend to gather like-minded people for a good cause, having hosted competitions to support.

“As attendance grows exponentially each year, money raised also increases,” said club member and one of the event organizers Scott Sykora. “So we decided to take it up a notch this year, make this an historical event for Cleveland, and help even more people who need it. Club members chose Youth Challenge to receive this year’s funds because as a club, they are family- oriented and wanted to find a way to give back to our future leaders.
