Celebrate National Trails Day on an oft-overlooked trail
In honor of National Trails Day on June 1, how about a refreshing springtime hike in your Geauga Park District? That’s right – lace up your walking shoes and enjoy 4.2 miles of the oft-overlooked Creek Trail, stretching your legs from Tupelo Pond entrance to Woodin Road and back.
National Trails Day Hike will take place on Saturday, June 1, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Big Creek Park, Tupelo Pond Entrance, 9373 Ravenna Road in Chardon.
Stream crossings, abundant wildflowers, and hilly terrain await you, and several scenic overlooks may just make this one of your new favorite routes…but there’s only one way to find out!
Registration is not required for this free hike, which is suitable for those school age and older but is not wheelchair/stroller accessible. Call 440-286-9516 with questions.
